Firearm Purchase Policy

Firearm Purchases

All firearm purchases from Wildebees Outdoor are subject to the Firearms Control Act, SAPS requirements, and all applicable South African firearm laws and regulations.

By purchasing a firearm from Wildebees Outdoor, the customer accepts that the firearm may only be collected, transferred, or couriered once all required legal documentation has been approved and provided.

Firearm Storage

Wildebees Outdoor offers 12 months of free firearm storage on firearms purchased directly from us.

The 12-month free storage period starts from the date of purchase. During this period, the firearm will remain safely stored at Wildebees Outdoor while the customer completes the required firearm licence application process.

After the 12-month free storage period has expired, additional storage fees may apply. These fees will be for the customer’s account and must be paid before the firearm is released, transferred, or couriered.

Licence Applications

It is the customer’s responsibility to apply for the correct firearm licence, storage permit, or any other required authorisation.

Wildebees Outdoor is not responsible for delays, refusals, administrative issues, or any decisions made by SAPS, the Designated Firearms Officer, the Central Firearms Registry, or any other authority involved in the firearm application process.

Any costs related to the firearm licence application, competency, SAPS fees, supporting documents, training, courier services, or any other related expenses remain the customer’s responsibility.

Collection of Firearms

No firearm may be collected without a valid firearm licence, storage permit, or any other legally required authorisation.

The customer must provide the required original or valid documentation before the firearm can be released. Wildebees Outdoor reserves the right to refuse the release of any firearm if the documentation is incomplete, invalid, expired, incorrect, or does not match the firearm or customer details.

Firearms may only be collected by the legally authorised person, unless otherwise permitted by law and approved by Wildebees Outdoor.

Courier of Firearms

Courier or transport of a firearm will be for the customer’s account.

Firearms may only be couriered through a legally authorised firearm courier or transport service. No firearm will be handed over to any courier unless all required legal documents, permits, and authorisations are in place and confirmed by Wildebees Outdoor.

Any courier costs, insurance costs, transport fees, or related charges are the responsibility of the customer.

Wildebees Outdoor will not be held liable for courier delays, courier fees, courier damage, failed collections, incorrect delivery details, or any issue outside of our direct control once the firearm has been handed over to the authorised courier.

Cancellations and Refunds

If a customer wishes to cancel a firearm purchase, the request must be submitted to Wildebees Outdoor in writing.

If the customer has already submitted a firearm licence application, storage permit application, or any other SAPS application for the firearm, the customer must provide proof that the application has been cancelled, withdrawn, or otherwise finalised before Wildebees Outdoor can proceed with any refund process.

No refund will be processed while an active SAPS application is still linked to the firearm.

All firearm purchase refunds are subject to a handling fee of between 20% and 40% of the purchase price. The applicable handling fee will depend on the time period between the original purchase date and the refund request, as well as the administration, storage, documentation, and processing already completed by Wildebees Outdoor.

Any licence application fees, competency fees, SAPS-related costs, courier fees, customisation costs, gunsmithing costs, or third-party service fees are not refundable by Wildebees Outdoor.

Refunds will only be processed once Wildebees Outdoor has received all required documentation and has confirmed that the firearm is not linked to an active application or pending transfer process.

SAPS Delays, Refusals, and Decisions

Wildebees Outdoor is not responsible for any action, delay, refusal, decision, administrative error, or processing time by SAPS, the Designated Firearms Officer, the Central Firearms Registry, or any other authority.

If a firearm licence application is refused, delayed, cancelled, or not approved for any reason, Wildebees Outdoor will not be liable for any loss, additional costs, application costs, or related expenses suffered by the customer.

The customer remains responsible for deciding whether to appeal, reapply, apply for a storage permit, transfer the firearm, or request cancellation of the purchase, subject to this policy and all applicable legal requirements.

Firearm Customisation While in Storage

Customers may request customisation, accessories, upgrades, gunsmithing, or other work to be done on a firearm while it is in storage with Wildebees Outdoor.

All customisation requests must be confirmed in writing and approved by Wildebees Outdoor before any work is carried out.

Customisation, gunsmithing, accessories, parts, labour, and related services will be quoted separately and must be paid for by the customer.

Once customisation work has started, or once parts or accessories have been ordered for the customer, these costs may not be refundable.

Wildebees Outdoor reserves the right to refuse any customisation request that is unlawful, unsafe, impractical, or not suitable for the firearm.

Customer Responsibility

The customer is responsible for ensuring that all personal details, firearm application details, licence details, storage permit details, and contact information provided to Wildebees Outdoor are correct.

Wildebees Outdoor will not be held liable for delays, failed applications, incorrect documentation, or additional costs caused by incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer.

Acceptance of Policy

By purchasing a firearm from Wildebees Outdoor, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted this Firearm Purchase Policy.

Wildebees Outdoor reserves the right to update or amend this policy at any time, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
